2001 jeep grand cherokee E-brake
Any one out there have any experiance with the e-brake cable breaking at the handle and the replacement of it? Dealer wants $400+ to repair.
Any ideas???

No experience, but $400??? 
I would price the cable to see how much of the $400 was parts and how much was labor. Basic replacement would be to dismantle the console to get to that end and then put it on a lift to get the old one out and new one in. I can't imagine it taking more than an hour, maybe two on the outside. Have you priced it at a good independent shop?
