Eldorado, Caddy overheated
Any ideas on what would cause an Eldorado to overheat? And what I can do to repair it.

low coolant, bad cooling fan, blocked radiator, incorrect timeing, slipping belt, these are just a few of the problems that can cause overheating, have you checked your coolant level, have you noticed any puddles left in your parking spots, any squeals, smells, loss of power?

ok now fill it and see when you run it if it still over heats, look to see how fast the thermostat opens you can tell without opening the radiator cap, just keep you hand on the upper radiator hose by the radiator, it will get hot as soon as it opens. if it takes more than about 5 minutes at a idle this time of year you probably have a bad thermostat. if you have access to a refrigeration thermometer you can place it in the radiator fill opening and check opening temp. it should be 192 degrees if i remember properly. does your caddy have only an electric fan? if so you need to check that it cycles properly.
