1992 dynasty window regulator
The cables in the regulator have broken...
Is there a retrofit idea out there...The OEM part is $280
and both front windows require fixing....The car is a trooper but I can't justify throwing $600 into it just for windows
I experimented with rebuilding the cables but couldn't locate the exact diameter cable and I'm positive not the correct material.
It will last a month or two but eventually breaks also.
If some one has a cheap fix.....I would be a happy camperBeer 4U2
Is there another cheaper regulator that will work....GI2
I am now brainstorming on how to get some use out of the windows.....I am mechanically inclined
Thanks for the Ideas in advance

I had to replace the motor and regulator on my '94 Mercury Villager. I went to the local pull a part place and got one for $17.00. It was a little bit of work to get to it, but not too bad. That might be worth a look.
