1993 Buick Century

Just a few questions. I'm planning a 600 or so mile trip here coming up soon. So far I've had to replace my starter, alternator, and just recently the water pump disintergrated, so that had to be replaced. What else should I be looking for to fail on my car. It has the 3300 V-6 and has 108000 miles on it. The trip is going to consist of mostly turnpike driving. I'm just worried about something big failing on it, like the timing chain or something. The transmission was replaced at like 50,000 miles because it just quit moving. Just looking for input here.

Thanks

Cory

usually timeing chains and gears are good to about 160-200K miles. I would not worry just now since your waterpump was recently changed unless you didn't change out any of the hoses with the water pump. in that case keep a close eye on them also the pressure cap with the hoses.

Things to check

You might want to take a listen to the idler pully on the serpentine belt. RW

I'm really curious about this statement as it is also nice to know what can happen to stuff. Disintegrated?
