1998 escort blower
1998 ford escort blower motor not working. i checked the motor with a direct hot motor is good. checked every fuse i knew of (under dash and in engine compartment) no idea what to do next

I would start with the resistor pack attached to the motor housing, if not that, it's your control panel.

I too have a 1998 Escort ZX2, and I had that same problem. According to the teamzx2 web site, it's a rather common problem. You'll find that either the resistor pack or the connectors leading to it are corroded, or both.
