2003 Ford Escape trailer lights connector

Hi there,

Unfortunately the car was bought used without a manual. I just installed a class III hitch for my boat trailer, and before we pull it I need to get the lights (and breaks if possible) connected.

When installing the hitch however, I did not see any wire connectors (T connector?) to attach a wire kit to. Ive searched online and it looks like there is something in place on the car where i can just plug in an adapter and be done with it without splicing wires.

Does anyone know where this might be?

I checked where the spare tire was and I couldnt find anything there either.

Mine has what I think was a factory installed connector under the bumper.

http://www.etrailer.com/faq_wiring.aspx
check out this web site, i have found it very helpfull on trailer wireing problems, and tips except for recommending scotch lock connectors. which i despise.

life begins when the kids leave home and the dog dies
