I have a 2003 Impala with the 3.4 litre V6 with the stupid check engine light showing. My wife was driving the car when the light came on so I can only relay the symptoms as they were relayed to me. She called me while driving on the highway at 60 mph and reported that ..." The engine seemed to rev a little then sputtered a bit ..... but it settled down and now it drives normal ..but the little engine light in the corner is on". I had the car out on the highway and in town and put the car through its paces and noticed nothing odd about its performance but the light is still on. Any ideas out there???

I have a 95 Ford Contour 4 cyl, the battery went dead so I got a jump and drove it home. I shut the car off and tried to start it again and it wouldn't start. I drove it home for about 15 minutes. I don't know if I should replace the battery or the alternator?? Can anyone help me please.. Thank-You!
