E-85 fuel question.
I have a 91 Oldsmobile cutlass and looking in the manual it says i can use Ethanol fuel of no more then 10% Ethanol which i believe is E-10 right ? So i can't use E-85 which is 85% ethanol.the reason i ask is its alot cheaper then regular gas. reg was 3.28 E-85 was 2.77.

you are correct on the percentages of e-10 & e85.E-85 is for flex-fuel cars that can change timing, spark duration and other engine controls. Ethanol is cheaper in some places but the gas mileage is terrible. You are wise not to use it in your car.

dont do it
My Ford is a E-85 car and I tried it one time filled it up. It did not like it it stalled at the red lights I finally got it back off its corn diet to dino fuel.
On a technical note the fuel system and computers are a bit diffrent. The fuel tank and lines are stainless steel as well as I think the Orings are made of a diffreant rubber blend.
Also the computer adjusts on E-85 cars as yours wont.
