1994 mercury sable rear brakes

i have a 1994 mercury sable and was changing the rear brakes. i have loosened the caliper and took off the brake pads. my problem is now i can't get the piston back in. my book just says that you turn and push the piston back in. i can turn it but can't get it to retract. i have tried everything but nothing works. really need help as i need my car back asap. thanks

no need to push, the piston should "screw" back in just turn it clockwise. Might help to open the bleeder screw while you are turning it, it should go back in.
