97 honda prelude wont go past 2000 rpm
Hi guys,
just really need help i was driving my prelude and hit a pot hole and all the suddden the car wouldnt rev past 2000 rpm and when it gets close it bogs down i have to put t in a higher gear if i try and go anywhere and still i cant go past to 2000 rpm please help

I would replace your MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor. It's located on the air intake tube. When these sensors go out, it usually limites the engine RPM, at least thats what it does on my Maxima if it goes out.
Will it go past 2k rpm if in neutral?

I would also make sure you don't have a restricted exhuast. Did u shake a piece of your cat converter loose and restrict a exhuast pipe. did this happen right after the pot hole.

did the pot hole have water in it. I have had this problem when a customer when through a pot hole and the air filter was soaked causing no power, low rpms and mass air codes. these filters don;t dry fast and will clog fast when wet

ok so i went out to my garage and disconnected the battery, which i should have done in the first place! topped off all fluids clean most of my vacuum lines and reconnected everything and guess what about an hour later reconnected the battery and BAM
MY CAR RUNS FINE! so i think i might of shaken something up and then reset it with the battery disconnect thanks for the suggestions i will be on here lots more
