2000 GMC Sanoma 2.2L codes 410,420,442,452

The check engine light came on and it read codes
P0410,420,442,452. It seems that they are all related.
Is there a possible malfunction common to all four codes.
What is the secondary air injector(P0410).

the first two codes can be related but the second two codes are for you evap system......first code is for your air injection pump...second one is cat convertor...if the injection pump doesn't work the cat code can be set.....the other two are for fuel vapor leak.....do you live where things rust...if so i would think a fuel filler neck but try a gas cap before that

Yes I live in Michigan where rust is an issue. I will check that and also replace the gas cap. When you say an air injection pump do you refer to smog pump?...as it's known in California.
Thank you

well that is what it is called....funny thing they call it a smog pump but all it does is adds air to fool emissions testing.....anyway without the extra air the cat could fail the monitor due to not being within the peramiters set in the engine controler

this 2.2 sonomas are known for bad air pumps. they suck in water and seize up. Gm has a conversion kit that re-routes the hoses and filter. check for a blown air pump fuse, this is usally the tell-tale
