Common locations: Behind the dash, under the driver's seat or behind the kick panel on the passenger side.

But let's start with, why do you think it's belly up?

That could be any number of things short of the brain being fried. The assorted sensors and components feeding the brain are much more likely to fail. Time for a code read/scan.

The PCM is located under the hood on the passenger side. But, do what the tow guy suggested before you replace anything. Check the ignition coil wire for corrosion at the coil and distriutor cap first. Try cycling the ignition from on to off, in 2 second intervals a few times before you try to start it.

Fixed it

Fuel sending unit; when Alex, my local mechanic told me that it was the fuel sending unit I remarked that it sounded a lot more expensive than just a fuel pump, and boy was I right!!!!!!!!!!

$498.00 just for the part.
