i have a 1978 ford granada tail lights work but no break lights.brand new bulbs on both sides

Check fuses first, then check for voltage at the brake light switch.

Check to see if flashers work. Flashers and brake lights use same element. If flashers work, check the brake switch. May just be out of adjustment.

Worm gear hose clamps

What can I use as a replacement hose clamp from oem hose clamps. The standard replacement worm gear clamps stink! They have to be tightened in the fall when outside temps drop because of leaking........oem types don't leak (the compression spring type). Are the compression spring hose clamps available at the local auto parts store? What do you hp muscle car guys use on your 500 HP big blocks to prevent leakage at the hose clamps?Read More

anti freeze in carpet

My gf has a mint condition classic 56 chevy. The heater core went out on it this weekend. Didnt overheat the engine - just bypassed the core. May or may not replace it - looks like the dash needs to come out to get to it!!! Of course, I've been trying to dry the passenger side carpet ever since. Is there a carpet cleaner that will get the anti freeze out of the carpet? I pulled it up and replaced the foam padding, but I'd like to get the 'slick' oily residue out if possible. Also, the radiator will need replacing soon - corrosion on the fins. Any ideas where to get one that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? I'd like to get at least a double core. No one locally has them.
