I have a 2000 Honda Odyssey (147k miles). While the general condition of the van is very good I have the following issue:Clicking noise when a/c runs:
Whenever the a/c adjusts up/down I hear a constant clicking noise under the glove comparment. I looked under it and noticed that a mechanical arm was failing to engage / lock itself in position. This does not happen when the thermostat is set to < 70 or > 72. Does this part need replacement/adjustment? How much would it cost?

sound like the motor for the recirculation door is ok but the splines on the door or the motor are worn....if you can remove the motor...pull that off and check the splines and hope the worn ones are on the motor side and not the door side.....sorry to say most times it's the door....pull dash remove hvac unit....not a good time....good luck
