Warning clueless female ...
I think this is a simple diagnostic question. The last two nights when I leave work (9:30 pm) it's cold, but not below freezing. I start the car and let it idle for a minute or two before driving off.
A few yards down the road the thermostat light starts blinking and beeping. Once the car warms up a bit, it goes away.
Should I be alarmed, or simply wait longer while the car warms up?
I got the oil changed a few weeks ago, and they topped off the fluids. I was wondering if something they did could be causing this?
Perhaps one is not related to the other, but I thought I'd share that just in case.
Sorry to be a girl about this, but I really have no one to ask.
Thanks.

Never knew these cars had such a light, but I would replace the thermostat......
Nothing they could have done to do this.
It's about a $15-20 part and a 15 minute fix.
