where is the abs relay

I have a 99 Ford Explorer with the abs light on. I want to check the relay but I dont have the owners manual to check location. Also, how can I check the abs codes. will an obd II tester do it or is there a tool I can buy at an autoparts store.

Go on some of the web sites like Advance auto they show the locations of various parts. RW

obd II tester

obd II tester is limited to engine testing Not good for brakes or transmissions or airbags.

there is no abs relay on this vehicle, in the battery junction box check fuses #7 mini 30a,#3 50a maxi, in the fuse junction panel under the dash check fuses # 14 10a mini,#9 7.5 mini, the problem that I have seen most on these is the sensor for the rear wheels that is in the rear end housing.
good luck
