Acura Legend Failed Emissions
'95 Acura Legend 140,000 + miles
failed emissions w/ High HC
had 330 ppm with passing cutoff 220 ppm
I have had the car for 6 months and know nothing of its history.
I pulled the plugs and all looked normal.
all coils had about 1 ohm across primary.
compression in all 6 was about 170 (no oil added and cold)w/ extremes being 165 and 175 (I have no ides what they should be)
air filter was fine.
seems to warm-up ok.
runs smooth.
no cel
exhasut does not smell bad as has been my experience w/ high hc
next:
plan to check for high fuel pressure
pull injectors and look for wet tip(s)
??????how can I make the fuel pump run constantly w/o
motor running??????????
clean maf sensor?
find coolant temp sensor
?????what are the specs??????
any other suggestions???
thanks

You connect a fuel pressure gauge usually to a schrader type valve or port near the fuel rail or fuel pressure regulator. You then start your car as usual and check. You should pick up a repair manual, as this will tell you where the test port is.
Also note, have all the raw fuel enter the exhaust (that's what high HC is) can severely damage your cat converters.
