Noisy clutch

Folks:
I have a 2004 jeep rubicon. There is 31,000 miles on it.
This noise only occurs during cold weather.(below thirty)When
its warm no noise. When I depress the clutch or let it up I'm
hearing a noise that sounds like a bad spring.I got under
the vehicle and the noise seems like it's inside the bell housing.
I was going to take the jeep to the dealer but since it got warm I can't duplicate the noise so they can hear it to trouple shoot.I would appreciate any and all help. Thank you in advance Ron

Question clutch noise

Hard to say exactly. Was the vehicle running when you checked the noise? Does it do it when the motor is not running? Could be a spring in the pressure plate, depending on how the plate is made(springs-coil or finger type springs). Could it be the return spring for the clutch pedal itself? Not much help I know, but I can't imagine it only when it is cold. Is it a hydraulic type clutch or mechanical? Someone else with more knowledge of Jeeps will check in shortly. Good luck!
