2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP P/S Pulley

I have a 2000 Grand Prix GTP and the serpentine belt came off last night. Today I bought a new one and was putting it on. I noticed that the Power Steering Pully didn't line up with the other pulleys. I was able to push the pully back to be aligned and was also able to pull the pulley and shaft completey out of the housing. I'm not sure but it apprears that maybe some sort of pin got sheared off within the housing?

It snowed last night and my daughter thought she'd cut a few cookies in reverse and that is when the belt came off. If anyone knows what the issue is and how to fix it I would appreciate hearing from you.

Thanks

I'm thinking you meant to say "cut a few donuts"........

Typically, you need a special pulley removal tool to get them out. They are just pressed in and don't believe there is any bolt or pin.

you will need to replace the p/s pump if the shaft and pully just pull out by hand, the shaft is sheered.

life begins when the kids leave home and the dog dies
