Speedometer needle is stuck at 110mph

My speedometer needle will point all the way to the bottom when I am on the highway, when I come to a complete stop it will stay at 110 MPH. When I shut it off the needle stay at 110 mph. Is this something simple to fix or do I need to pay a couple of hundred dollars to get it fix?

Depending what it's in would dictate the cost of repair. You likely need a new speedometer head. It's something you could get at a salvage yard for $30.00 or so. Once again depending on what you have for a vehicle.

It really depends on what your vehicle is. My wife's '93 Ford Focus started doing the same thing (along with the other gauges as well) and the fix was $750. My 2005 GMC pickup's speedometer just started doing it but there's a service bulletin about it and the fix is free.
