I need brighter back up lights

I have a 2004 Toyota Sienna van. I live in the Sierra Nevada mountains and am so tired of not being able to see behind me when I back up. The lights that came with the van just don't cut it. Are there any ideas on what I can do so when I put it in reverse I have lights in the back that are as good as my headlights in the front? Thanks. Mary

check into a couple of small bullet lights, should be fairly easy to install, might need to use a relay powered from backup light circuit to keep from blowing fuses, but probably won't need to.

life begins when the kids leave home and the dog dies

And make sure they only operate when the vehicle is in reverse. Some localities prohibit add on lighting facing the rear that can be actuated while driving. I likewise like to be able to see behind my flatbed Dodge dually, but there are no back up lights, so I mounted a couple of driving lights to the headache rack. Really light up the night!

They also make halogen backup light bulbs that are considerably brighter than incandescents.
