Car door lock problems

I have a 97 saturn sl1 and the drivers side window broke and in the process of getting that back in place the lock mechanism is now broken. It is not easy getting into the drivers side through the passenger door especially with a standard vehicle. Is there some way possible to get the door open so that it will at least open and close and if so who does that kind of stuff? I've been to repair shops and window shops and they say locksmiths or saturn. The car is only worth $1500 so I'm trying to limit my expense by just getting the door to open and close. Thanks for any help.

Only way to open the door is call a locksmith or remove the interior panel (which maybe impossible).

Do you have AAA or another service that can do it?

I wasn't sure if a locksmith could do it since the rods from the lock have fallen inside the door panel. No I don't have AAA
