1997 Ford Explorer

I have a 1997 Ford Explorer that has a rear door that has been locked and will not unlock. I guess it is an actuator problem but the problem is how to fix it while it is still locked. I think there is a way to get the door panel off but that is tricky while it is locked. Is there a tool that will get it open to repair the actuator?

might be able to slim jim it, it would be helpfull to see how the mechanism is oreinted inside the door before attempting the unlock, you might open the oposite side door and removing the panel first, check with a local body shop before removing the panel to make sure you don't damage the panel removing it.

life begins when the kids leave home and the dog dies
