98 cutlass

Dont know if any of you remember ,but i ended up finding out i had a bent valve so i replaced both heads on the motor,3100 .now here is the new issue since doing that the motor is still having a missing issue im getting the code p0300.and now the gas gauge does not work. what are the possibilities or options ? other than the miss and gauge problem it runs ok.i have checked all wiring connectors and no vacuum leaks anywhere.

Have you been trying to find and diagnose any of the problems yourself?

Maybe the gauge has a bad ground.

With the miss can you describe how it behaves? Like, is it like the cylinder is completely dead? Or is it the kind of miss when it idles that you get a more erratic combination of firing and misfiring? Like: Pop...pop pop...pop...pop....pop pop pop - that sort of thing? Does it do it all the time, whether idling or under load? Is it hard to remove your spark plugs so you can check plug color and look carefully for insulator cracks or a bent-over electrode? Do you own any sort of spark plug firing tester?
