Ford E250 Heat
i got a 98 ford e250 4.2L i wanted to know how to fix the the heat problem my heater blows cold air out of the vents and it dosnt seem to make a differents in the air when u change it from hot to cold what would cause the to happen?

Likely you are having a problem with the blend door mechanism.

Some of them are vacuum operated and it's a simple matter of finding the vacuum leak; others are more involved.

Ford has been plagued with this problem since the mid nineties, so youre not alone......
The blend door is "Motor-controlled" and the door itself fractures where the motor shaft engages it. Your ford dealer will have a "Repair-kit" available , which replaces the door, motor and the related housing. Same labor as changing a heater core.
