jeep liberty limited sunroof won't open

I have a 2005 liberty sunroof was working properly in summer used often , as the snow has for most part gone I tryed to open sunroof will not open just clicks in the roof i assume at the motor .

It has been warm + 11 there can be no ice holding it shut so what I need to know is why all sudden it won't open or work when was fine last time was used open close normal.

Not sure at what temperature your water freezes, but ours freezes somewhere around 32 degrees. I would suspect any water that has seeped past the seals (and it does when frozen), is still there at 11 degrees, only in a solid form keeping the window from opening. You may can take a hair dryer and run it around the perimeter of the seals, both inside and out and try it, but water will freeze back rather quickly.

On power sunroofs there is normally an emergency opener so you can open it manually if you have to. There might be a pop out panel near the switch which should have the tool for hand opening it.
