'95 Mazda Protege no juice to heat or air

I just bought a '95 Protege 1.5 automatic.I had a mechanic tell me there is no juice to the heat/air but he did not have time to look further right now.the stereo had also been removed,so I just wondered if there was maybe some relationship or what your first thoughts might be.it does not blow,it is dead dead dead.
Thanks!

depending on how the radio was removed that could be the problem, could be not ground from wires being cut, could have blown a fuse from wires being cut or could just be a coincidence, you will need a wiring diagram to check first to see if any circuits are shared before any time is spent on trouble shooting.
