would check to see if you are getting power through the brake switch?
none of the brake lights work not even the 3rd brake light?

There are some fuses under the hood on the driver side. Have you checked them?
If you have a trailer package, under the hood there are some fuses that will affect the brake lights.
I just went through the same thing.

It turned out to be a 15 amp relay fuse under the hood, that was bad.

Look under the back end of the vehicle. The wires may have become disconnected one of the plugs that hold them together.

frustrating

Does anyone else have a problem with after fixing the lights and checking to make sure they're on that they go on and off? Like getting pulled over for no tail light but then when you go to fix it see that it still works it had just went out for a bit or something... is that when it's a fuse or what?
