97 plymouth gran voyager se tranny leak

Hope you can help my 97 plymouth gran voyger is leaking trans fluid i looked not leaking from pan or were trans butts up to motor but noticed were the transfer box is on the side of the transmission were the axle goes out to both wheels or cv what ever you want to call them seems to be leaking does that sound like the likely place and is it that hard to replace i have replace trans seals before and can rebuild motors but never really got into transmissions

It can leak from there (axle seal), and not too difficult to replace, after removing the axle. The axle on the other hand requires a big socket to remove nut on the end, and a long prybar to convince the lower control arm down and off ball joint so axle can be pulled free.
