tranny fluid leak?

My wife has a 1992 lumina APV Van. The transmission hose blew a leak a couple weeks ago. Her mechanic/Pastor replaced the hos and refilled it with 5 qts of fluid. A week later she added a qt, and today 2 weeks after repair she added another qt. I drove it and it shifted fine, it was slipping when it was low before she added the fluid. I parked it and looked under the van after a few minutes and no leak.
So where is the fluid going if there are no leaks? Could it possibly be leaking internally?

Not sure if a Lumina has a vacuum modulator on its tranny, but that would be a prime suspect for mystery fluid loss.

Transmissions take a lot of fluid, perhaps it's not filled up all the way... there should be a dip stick you can check.
