An attempted at advertising "The Tornado" aka "this device will quadruple your gas mileage" product?

It has been proven my numerous groups to be completely bogus.

And oh yeah....what John said above.

They are a sponsor on "Sam's Garage" Saturday morning radio show! Sam says if a person does not get a refund if it does not work in their car, he will personally give them the refund! Can't lose. Claims often are around 5-10 hp increase on actual dyno test and up to 3 mpg increase. Certain especially older vehicles made claims for larger increases.

So badly I have wanted to try one out in my Dodge, but they do not make one for it! I am really into logging statistics accurately (rememtber what I said I have gained by switching electric meter plans and the fortune I am saving monthly, with no lifestyle change?) and would have loved to do before, after, and repeat before tests during identical atmospheric and road conditions. Rats!

Jeff Brooks' On The Road Again auto repair show used to hawk them, too. They are all well compensated for the endorsements.

There's a commercial spot being run on my favorite radio station right now that is read by the very popular female member of the morning drive-time show singing the virtues of a certain insurance company (as a supposed long-time client) which is in the process of pulling the plug on a couple of million of their homeowner policyholders. I don't for a minute think she's really happy about the situation.

That is who I used to listen to, until I got angry at the reruns, only to learn the reason was that he was ill/died. I was quite shocked, and saddened. He seemed like a real likeable guy the way he talked to people.
