Angry 92 camry le, transmission problems

a freind has a 1992 camry le, 2.2l 4 cyl. auto with a transmission issue. Her tranny started pouring out fluid so I thought it was possibly her tranny pan, or at most one of the seals, but upon further inspection I found that the leak is where the engine and transmission connect. I was hoping someone would be able to tell me if its possible a gasket or something is bad by the flywheel, and the easiest possible steps to fix it besides getting rid of it or taking it to a shop. Many thanks.
