Solvent smell from A/C vents

The A/C vents on my 94 Nissan KingCab 4x4 pickup have started putting out an unbelievably strong solvent-like smell that I can't quite identify (paint thinner? acetone?). I'm thinking this isn't normal . . . ! The vehicle hasn't been worked on recently.

It seems stronger when the A/C is on than when the fan is on without A/C, but the smell fills the cab even with no fan and after sitting all night.

Thoughts? Ideas?

94 S10 Blazer.
My heater core sprung a leak 3 years ago. I still smell antifreeze.
Do your windows fog up, get a thin slimy coating?
Check your floorboards for dampness. May have to rempve some plastic.

You got the virus! Check around the heater core for a leak. I had an older hardbody, and if I remember correctly the heater core is inside the cab on the right side covered by a black box. It is accessible, although time consuming.
