Radio has no sound

1999 Ford 350 factory radio/player. Radio comes on, shows to have power, CD player seems to work but no sound from speakers. Have checked all fuses - all good. What can I check to see if it needs replacing.?

have you tired turning the little know that has "volume" near it. Clockwise generally is the proper direction.

Sorry, just couldn't resist.

No fuses in power distribution panel under hood or in under dash that are labeled (amp) by chance is there. Not sure whether your system incorporates an amp or not, but it is a common cause of what you describe in some vehicles.
