95 VW Jetta blower motor

Howdy folks!! My 95 Jetta's blower for heat and defrost and A.C. only seems to work on high speed. At least that is the only speed I feel air coming out when the vehicle is parked. When I am driving, air does move out even at fan speed 0. Any ideas on what is up with this. Time to replace? How much of a bear would it be to change it?

At least I don't need it for heat this time of year.

Sounds like a burned out resistor pack. It should be mounted on or near your fan motor housing.

You feel it come out more when driving because outside air is begin forced into the system. I bet if you put it on the "recirculate" setting, you won't feel anything when driving.

Thank you!! I never use the AC anymore because I drained the system of 134a by disconnecting the hose over the radiator. I did this because I had to change the radiator fan assembly a couple years ago and found it easier to disconnect that hose than tear off the front end of the car like the Haynes manual recommended.
