Chevy Venture tie rods

First, as far as checking the outers, do you need both front wheels off the ground or can you do one side at a time and should there be absolutely zero play when you rock the wheel back and forth. Also, any tips/tricks to installing the outers on the Venture. I am assuming they are like any other vehicle. I can get a loner fork style puller when I buy them at Autozone. Thanks

you would be correct sir. you can check them one at a time with a jack. and yes and no about the zero play. there should be no play in the tie rod itself but as far as shaking the tire itself you have to be able to tell the difference between the steering box moving and the loose tie rod.
