Unhappy a\c crack in the line of my Camry

I have a 94 toyota camry with a small crack on the top of the alluminum line it is in the front and easy to get to. My machanic put some Jacks welding on it. I think that is what is was called. He told me it had to dry for 24 hours I let it dry for 36 hours . It did not hold, and I have already spent 120bucks on another part to see if the a\c worked. I was going to try this stuff called Mighty Putty I seen on the TV but thought I would check for help and or suggestions here first. I hybernate in the summer because I can't stand the heat and it makes me sick so I really need my a\c Thank you so much, Blessings, Christine

The high pressure line on your ac has to withstand about 250 psi and over 100 degrees farenheight, so in short no repair putty is going to hold for long the only fix is to replace the line.

Probably not going to get a repair like to hold even on the low pressure side.
