Hi wplopi, not sure where the idle air control valve is, but that blasted knock sensor is burried up next to the fire wall. I chased my code problem for over a year and finally gave up. My conclusion was, it's probably not the sensor, but sensitivity to increased engine noise ie knock.

At the time, two years ago, I had found some comments on the internet saying they had replaced the knock sensor and still had the same problem, I forget the code. If you need to replace it, I believe you have to pull the intake manifolds, but wait for someone who is sure. Between the part cost and the labor, I wanted to be certain it was a fix. Never was.

Let's see what the pro have to say

Which engine????? 3.3....4.0 ??

Yes the intake must come off on both of them, but the 3.3 is a bit more forgiving.....

I believe the code # was PO 326....

IAC is bolted to the side of the throttle body.
