1976 Eldorado gas gauge not working.
Hi all,
I'm picking up this 1976 Cadi convertible and the gas gauge is not working. The power locks seem to not be working either.
I'm going to be driving from Ohio to NY and I was wondering if anyone is familiar with these problems? Of course I will check the fuses and look for anything obvious but, sometimes the not so obvious can be an easy fix too. Any Ideas?
I would really like the gas gauge to work for the trip home. From past experience I know these cars can be prone to electrical demons.
Thanks

Gas gauge: Is it not going up from empty or is it going offscale right etc.?
Windows: Do any of them try or is there any sign in any of them of power?

From what I'm told, It's not going up from empty. The current owner said they put gas in and nothing showing on gauge.
