97 Nissan pickup idle speed too high

I recently purchased a '97 Nissan 2wd pickup with 5 speed manual trans, AC and 100K miles that appears to have been very well maintained. Only problem is the idle speed stays around 1200 rpm. Other than that, the little truck runs very good. Is there an adjustment for this, or is it more complicated? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

I don't recall how that one is set up, but one thing you might try is cleaning the intake throat and throttle plate. Pull the intake duct off so you can see the throttle plate. Manually hold it open (engine off) and scrub both sides of the plate and the surrounding inlet with an old toothbrush and some carb cleaner. That is sometimes the simple cure for idling problems.

Also check all the vac hoses for a leak.
