1991 Park Ave Timing Chain Cover Removal

My maintenance manual is not very clear about removing the timing chain cover. Does the water pump have to come off before you can get to all the nuts and bolts to remove the timing chain cover?

From memory.......No....

You are only interested in the 13mm bolts, which I believe there to be 4 that actually pass thru the pump.....the 10 mm bolts stay in place, and the cover gets removed with the pump attatched.

I am not sure if there is enough room to remove the cover with the water pump attached.

Not sure what you are doing but it might be a good time to install a new water pump.
