blower motor

blower motor

i have a '96 dodge dakota with a non working blower motor there seems to be power to the control and i do get some heat/ac but no fan. also the gas gauge does not work nor the dome light or buzzers (lights on keys in ign. ) Any help?

Have you checked the fuses? I think they are located at the end of the drivers side dash board area or underneith.

Dodges and Blower resistors go hand in hand these days.....

Fold down the glovebox door .... locate the Green and black pair of twisted wires...follw them down to the heater case, and you will find the resistor......With a common "TEST LIGHT" check the resistor connector for (+).......The blower is fed 12 v +, and the ground comes from the dash switch thru the resistor to the blower....

In your underhood fuse panel, will be a fuse marked "IOD" or Ignition draw......It may have "HANDLES" attatched to it to allow for disengagement....Ensure its pushed in all the way, and make sure the fuse itself is good.
