Wheel bearings

I am replacing brakes and the rotors on a 1999 Ford Van with the aid of a manual. The new rotors have bearing races in them already. I bought new bearings as well but from a different manufacturer than the rotors. The book says to never use new bearings with old races because they come in a matched set. The bearings did come with new races, however the rotors are also brand new and have the races in them already. Can I use the races already in the rotors or do I have to install the races that came with the bearings?

You should use the races that came with the bearings......

BUT.....

With that said......I dont think I have ever replaced a race unless it was damaged, And Ive NEVER had a problem......

The ones in the rotor should do just fine.....

Book says to replace the races but I have never done it and have never had a problem.
