2005 Dodge Caravan Brake Problems

I had front brake pads and new rotors installed at the Dodge dealer about 5,000 miles ago. This is the 3rd set of front brake pads that I have replaced since I bought the vehicle with 24,000 miles. It has 56,380 miles now.Yesterday, I was desending a hill on the highway lightly braking to maintain th e 55 mph speed limit. The front end started to shimmy.I slowed to a stop thinking maybe,I had a tire going flat.As I stopped I notice smoke and flames from the right front wheel.Luckely I had some bottled water to put out the brake fire. After cooling brakes,I slowely drove home and inspected the brakes and tire. There was no serious damage, however I am wondering what caused this.I have been driving for 45 years with 34 years driving semi trucks in the Colorado mountains and never experianced a brake fire.

I think you have a caliper sticking, Will cause premature brake wear and heat (fire). Should of been found 2 brake jobs ago.
