96 taurus

my 96 taurus wont shift out of first its an automatic i have flushed the trany and replaced the speed sensor

I would have the computer scanned someplace that can see what signals the computer is seeing from the transmission range sensor... It is a series of resistors & can go bad & the signal it sends to the computer is you have selected manual low, so no code is set... Used to see a lot of them go bad, especially if they use salt to clear roads in the winter in you're area...... Roger
