I have an 03 sentra ser and in need of brakes. For money saving needs is it better to buy better rotors and cheaper pads or better pads and cheaper(white box) rotors?

rotors are rotors, all you pay for is a name brand. We always use the best pads at work as we have to warranty our work, again, you get what you pay for

First things first. How do you know you need new rotors? It would be unlikely that a 2003 car needs new rotors. Have you gotten them checked out to see if they can be turned? Pads are cheap, we are talking about $25 for pads with a lifetime warranty.

First, check the rotors for wear. You can also get them machined as well if needed. Front pads are critical as 65-70% of your braking occurs up front. Get top quality pads as they last longer and are quiet.
Myself, I never scrimp on brakes. Too important.
