1999 Sunfire 2.4-oil between 1st & 2nd spark plug-misfiring

Hello,

I have a OIL problem(it pools) that causes misfiring on the #2 Spark plug. It's leaking from somewhere I cannot see because of the coil housing. I took it off and cannot see where the oil is leaking from. Any quick fixes or head work ahead?!

Thanks in advance

Randy. I think your talking about spark plugs down in wells. If oil is getting into the wells from the bottom I would think you need a new valve cover gasket kit. I am not sure if there are individual seals for the spark plug wells or if its part of the valve cover gasket. It could be either way. It might not hurt for you to pick up a repair manual for your car and engine. That way you would know what to do and how to do it and what tools is needed.

are the plugs oil fowled meaning there is oil on the bottom of the plug when you remove it or is there oil sitting on top of the plug,( the outside of the plug). if there is oil on the outside you most likely have a leaking rocker cover, if the plug is getting oil fowled you have a leaking intake valve seal
