Advice about extended service
Hi
I got 7000 mile driven Benz 320 sports from a dealer. Now should I get extended warranty. Original it covers only 50000 miles. I am planning to keep the car for 7-10 yrs, hopefully.
Any way I can bargain the prize, please advice.
Thanks, love the forum

Many if not all of the third party extended warranties are not worth much. There are many exclusions to what's covered. Mercedes may offer one and that would be worth checking into, but I wouldn't buy anything that wasn't backed by Mercedes. Beware, dealers can and do sell warranties other than the one from the manufacturer.
I'd also shop around, I think you can usually buy these from any dealer, not just the one you bought the car from. I remember when I bought my Honda, there was a dealer selling Honda warranties online for hundreds less than most local dealers.
I'd find an online forum for the model that you have. You didn't mention if your 320 is a C or E class, I believe that there was a 320 in both models. Either way I bet there's an enthusiasts forum out there for it and folks there will know where the best place is to buy a warranty.
Good luck.
