rear disc brake wear question

Hey everyone,

My car is a 2007 kia spectra and has 45k. The rear disc brake pads need replacing. The front pads are at 50% or better. This car is driven 75% higway 25% city.

The pads on both side on the rear are about worn evenly, and it seems that after I release the emergency brake, the hub turns very hard by hand with the wheel removed.
I start the car and manipulate the emergency brake and pump the brakes but the caliper still doesn't release the rotor to allow easy/descent hub rotation.

The rotor is in fine shape and the pads are organic and/or ceramic and smaller than the front pads.

Does this seem like a normal wear situation? Or should I ask the dealership to replace the calipers and pads?

Thanx!

p.s. finally football has started!!

It's probably in the emergency brake cable. The calipers could be dragging, but for both to have the same problem, the common ground for the pair is the cable or maybe an adjustment at the emergency brake pedal/lever.
