98 Buick Skylark Horn Problem

The horn will start honking at random times, usually when no one is in the car and the car is not running. When it is blowing the sound is not a steady sound but will hit every note in the book. I have replaced the relay which did not fix it. I am leaning toward there being a problem in the steering wheel button itself. Is this most likely the problem? What can be done to fix it? Is the air bag somehow tied to the horn inside the steering wheel or are they separate?
Thanks for any and all help.

It does sound like it may be the switch in the steering wheel. They are generally a cheaply made, metal to metal switch.
The problem is, with airbags, you can have it blow up in your face if you don't know exactly how to disable it.
If it were me, I would take it to a shop, but the choice is yours.
